Castle Medical was founded in 2021 in Waterloo, Iowa, as a partnership between longtime colleagues Chris Parkhurst and Mark Stambaugh with over 30 years of combined experience between them. Starting with distribution rights in Iowa and just two surgeon customers, the company quickly grew, expanding to over 30 customers by 2025. That same year, Castle acquired distribution rights for Minnesota. Sales surged from $1.5 million in 2021 to a projected $16 million in 2025, with expectations of continued rapid growth moving forward.
